    An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon crashed at about 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Gulf of Mexico near Key West, Fla. The pilot was picked up by a Navy helicopter crew and flown to a local hospital, where a physician examined him.He was released from the hospital.
