On April 13th, 2024 the government of Iran launched an extensive aerial attack of over 300 drones and missiles at the nation of Israel. The 494th and 335th Fighter Squadrons were forward deployed and tasked with defense of US coalition partners. They had no idea what they were flying into or how chaotic the evening would become.

That night these F-15E Pilots and Weapons System Officers fired all the missiles from their aircraft, dodged falling debris from space and had to land their aircraft under alarm red conditions. The ground crews had to work under dangerous conditions to refuel, rearm and launch these aircraft back into the fight in record time all while under the threat of attack.

This short documentary gives the perspective of the pilots, like Maj. Benjamin “Irish” Coffey, as they navigated their F-15E through the chaos and from legendary journalist, Martha Raddatz, as she explains the timeline of hostilities between these two nations. Weapons expert Alex Hollings gives the lowdown on what these pilots faced. Animations are used to reenact the extraordinary events of that night.
