Civic leaders were surprised during the Airmen Training Center tour as U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Lewis Christopher (center), 319th Training Squadron, military training instructor, orders them to get in formation for a crash course on marching, facing movements, and dormitory life, Nov. 7, 2019, at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. During the visit, civic leaders toured missions of 37th Training Wing, 12th Flying Training Wing, 502nd Air Base Wing and Air Force Recruiting Service, all at JBSA locations. The Air Force Civic Leader Program is an Air Staff-level program comprising major command-selected community leaders from a wide variety of industries and sectors, including banking and economic development, construction, manufacturing, education, healthcare, science and technology. The program helps community leaders understand and advocate for the Air Force’s diverse missions.
