Wounded warrior gets perfect fit
Retired Army Staff Sgt. Shilo Harris views the placement of his prosthetic ears Oct. 5, 2010, at Wilford Hall Medical Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Wounded in Iraq, Sergeant Harris has endured several medical procedures in the course of three years. During this time he has become a nationally recognized speaker, educating communities about support for wounded warriors. The 59th Medical Wing's Maxillofacial Prosthetics Department is one of only a few in the Department of Defense that creates prosthetic body parts, such as eyes, ears and noses.
