Program helps military voters with upcoming election Published Aug. 12, 2010 KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. (AFNS) -- All 50 states, three territories and the District of Columbia will hold general elections Nov. 2. Puerto Rico won't be holding an election this cycle. All military members, their family members, and citizens residing outside the U.S. who haven't registered or requested an absentee ballot this year should do so as soon as possible. To register or request an absentee ballot, use the Federal Post Card Application. Go to www.fvap.gov, and follow the prompts to register and request an absentee ballot for the Nov. 2 election. Some states allow submitting the FPCA by e-mail or fax, in addition to regular mail. The instructions will tell you how to fax or email the form. If you don't have access to the Internet to fill out the FPCA online, get a copy from your unit or installation voting assistance officer.
