March 7 airpower summary Published March 10, 2010 SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFNS) -- Coalition airpower integrated with ground forces in Iraq and International Security Assistance Force troops in Afghanistan during operations March 07 according to Combined Air and Space Operations Center officials here. Air Operations in Afghanistan: Close-Air Support Asmar Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews targeted pre-coordinated anti-Afghan forces positions in an early morning strike mission. The enemy fighting positions were destroyed with precision-guided munitions. Threats to friendly forces were neutralized Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon pilots provided armed overwatch for friendly forces.
