Dot Mil Docs, the Military Health System's official podcast, celebrates its 100th episode this week. Dot Mil Docs is a weekly audio podcast that features military medical professionals and other military health experts from across the DOD. The program upholds the Military Health System's commitment to connecting with servicemembers, veterans and their families through social media outreach.

"In addition to reaching the milestone of 100 episodes, the program has had more than 85,000 downloads and listens to date," said Michael Kilpatrick, M.D., director of strategic communications for the MHS. "We're happy to be reaching so many people and want to thank all of the servicemembers, retirees, their families and everyone else who has listened and shared their stories over the last couple of years."

This special-edition episode will kick off March's Brain Injury Awareness Month with an interview with Dr. James Kelly, one of America's top experts on treating concussions. Doctor Kelly has been appointed to direct the National Intrepid Center of Excellence being built in Bethesda, Md., adjacent to the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The NICoE will conduct research, diagnose and treat servicemembers suffering psychological health problems and traumatic brain injuries.
