Air Operations in Afghanistan: Close-Air Support Musah Qaleh Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon pilots provided armed overwatch for coalition and friendly forces. The pilots commenced a strafing run against enemy personnel at the request of friendly ground forces. The strafe was declared successful. Qalat Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II pilots provided several shows of force and presence, releasing multiple flares, in support of friendly, coalition and Afghan forces who had received enemy small-arms fire. Airlift Action Zabul An Air Force C-130 Hercules aircrew flew a combat-resupply mission in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, airdropping approximately 35,000 pounds of supplies to friendly forces.
