Air Operations in Afghanistan:

Close Air Support:

Lashkar Gah
Air Force MQ-9A reaper operators provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. Operators observed enemy forces firing on friendly forces and fired a missile at the enemy position. The engagement was successful as enemy fire ceased.

Asmar
Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for friendly forces. The aircrews released precision-guided munitions on enemy positions in response to enemy fire directed at friendly forces. The enemy positions were neutralized with no further enemy fire reported.

Airlift Action:
Zabul Province
An Air Force C-130 Hercules aircrew flew a combat-resupply mission in Zabul Province, Afghanistan, airdropping approximately 35,000 pounds of supplies to friendly forces .

Farah Province
A C-130 aircrew flew a combat-resupply mission in Farah Province, Afghanistan, airdropping approximately 36,000 pounds of sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

An Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircrew flew a combat-resupply mission in Farah Province, Afghanistan, airdropping nearly 60,000 pounds of combat-sustainment supplies to friendly forces.

Helmand Province
A C-130 aircrew flew a combat-resupply mission in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, airdropping approximately 30,000 pounds of sustainment supplies to friendly forces.
