Air Operations in Afghanistan: Soltani U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircrews provided armed overwatch for coalition forces. Musa Qala Coalition pilots were providing armed overwatch for friendly forces when they were tasked to conduct reconnaissance for any enemy forces in the vicinity of friendly forces. The pilots conducted a show of force in order to deter enemy action as friendly forces came under attack. The show of force was declared successful when no further enemy action was noted.
