Coalition airpower integrated with ground forces in Iraq and International Security Assistance Force troops in Afghanistan during operations Nov. 29 according to Combined Air and Space Operations Center officials here.

Air Operations in Afghanistan:

Chahar Bagh
Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt IIs and coalition aircraft provided reconnaissance and armed overwatch for friendly forces. Shows of force were requested to deter enemy action when the friendly forces reported taking enemy small-arms fire. The shows of force were considered successful when no further enemy action was noted.

Asadabad
Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons provided armed overwatch and surveillance for friendly forces. When friendly forces reported receiving enemy small-arms fire, a precision-guided munition was released and ended the enemy fire.

Moqor
Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles provided reconnaissance and armed overwatch for a friendly forces convoy. A show of force was requested to deter potential enemy action while the convoy was enroute. The show of force was considered successful when no enemy action was noted.
