Additional ROTC instructor positions available to air Reserve component officers Published Oct. 8, 2009 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFNS) -- Additional Air Force ROTC instructor positions have been made available to air Reserve component personnel under the AFROTC Limited Period Recall Program. ROTC instructor positions are available for Reserve component captains, majors and lieutenant colonels only. Information on detachments available under the AFROTC LPRP program as well as application procedures can be found at http://ask.afpc.randolph.af.mil by clicking on "Voluntary Officer Return to Active Duty" under the Military Quick Links section and selecting the "AFROTC LPRP Detachments" link and the "AFROTC Limited Period Recall Program" link. Captains and majors can apply for any detachment instructor position listed. Lieutenant colonels may only apply for the detachments below where the detachment commander is a colonel. Positions available are: -- Detachment 028 at Embry Riddle Aero University-Prescott, a master's degree is required to fill this position. -- Detachment 090 at Colorado State University. -- Detachment 105 at University of Colorado-Boulder, a master's degree is required to fill this position. -- Detachment 220 at Purdue University, a master's degree is required to fill this position. -- Detachment 720 at Penn State University, a master's degree is required to fill this position. -- Detachment 765 at The Citadel. -- Detachment 875 at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Air Reserve component personnel must not have more than 14 years, six months of total active federal military service from their recall effective dates. This requirement will not be waived. Completed AFROTC LPRP applications must to be mailed to HQ AETC/A1KODD, 1850 First Street West Suite 1, Randolph AFB, Texas 78150-4380 to be considered for an instructor position.
