Several top Air Force officials were in the nation's capitol for the 2009 Air Force Association Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition. The event featured dozens of forums and speeches covering a wide range of topics relating to air power. Men and women joining today's Air Force can choose from more than 130 enlisted career fields; anything from combat control to culinary arts. The newest job for enlisted Airmen involves unmanned aircraft systems. For many new Airmen, one of the most difficult things to get used to about military life is being away from family. But Air Force officials do what they can to make the transition go as smoothly as possible. In one instance, two brothers were given the chance to meet face to face, even though they're serving on different continents.
