DOD officials identify Air Force casualty

WASHINGTON (AFNS) --  Department of Defense officials here announced Sept. 21 the death of an Airman who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Senior Airman Matthew R. Courtois, 22, of Lucas, Texas, died Sept. 20 as a result of a nonhostile incident at an air base in Southwest Asia. 

He was deployed from the 366th Security Forces Squadron from Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
