Tops In Blue performs during Air Force Week Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AFNS) --  The Air Force's premiere entertainment group sang and danced their way into the hearts of thousands of Sacramento area residents during a series of concerts at the California State Fair Sept. 6 and 7. 

The Tops In Blue concerts, named "To Dream," were part of Air Force Week Sacramento, a weeklong event designed to highlight the Air Force's people, equipment and mission throughout the local community. 

"It was awesome to perform at the fair here," said Senior Airman Demetrius Johnson, a Tops In Blue vocalist. "Everyone was so supportive and really enjoyed the show," 

Concert goers ranged from young to old and the aisles were filled with people singing and dancing along with the performers on stage. 

"These Airmen are terrific," said Dawn Simmons, a fair visitor from Placerville, Calif. "They are all talented and the show is amazing." 

Air Force Week Sacramento runs through Sept. 13 and consists of various events throughout the area. These include performances by the Air Force's Band of the Golden West, the Air Force Honor Guard drill team and a final concert by Tops In Blue at the University of California at Davis. 

The week will culminate with a an air show at Mather Airport Sept. 12 and 13, featuring performances by the Air Force's aerial demonstration team, the Thunderbirds.
