Nellis contractors killed in vehicle accident

Two civilian contractors were killed in a single-vehicle accident Aug. 4 while working on the Nevada Test and Training Range in Nevada.

Killed were:
-- Curtis Fowler, 55, of Tonopah, Nev.
-- A second victim whose name is currently being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.

The two were killed when a fuel truck they were operating rolled over at approximately 12:50 p.m. near the Tonopah Air Field located approximately 125 miles northwest of Nellis Air Force Base and 35 miles southeast of Tonopah, Nev. 

Both individuals worked for Trend Western Technical Corporation, a subsidiary of Del-Jen Inc. Trend Western is a subcontractor for CSC, which provides range support services under a contract with the 98th Range Wing at Nellis AFB.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time," said Col. John Montgomery, the 98th Range Wing commander.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. The name of the second individual will be released upon notification of next-of-kin.
