Airman's Roll Call: Mentoring critical to development

  • Published
This week's Airman's Roll Call focuses on Air Force mentoring, a program designed to prepare Airmen for increased responsibilities.

Air Force mentoring covers a wide range of areas, such as career guidance, technical and professional development, and leadership. The program's benefits include increased mastery of competencies, better communicators, more efficient leaders, and greater retention of Airmen.

Officials plan to roll out officer and civilian versions of this program by fall 2009.

For more information about Air Force mentoring, read this week's Airman's Roll Call.

Airman's Roll Call is designed for supervisors at all levels to help keep Airmen informed on current issues, clear up confusion, dispel rumors and provide additional face-to-face communication.
