Officials request NCO feedback for future assessments

RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFNS) --  Staff sergeants through chief master sergeants throughout the Air Force are encouraged to share feedback with officials from the Air Force Occupational Measurement Squadron here right now. 

This feedback will help NCOs have a voice their own career advancements.

Input from the Military Knowledge and Testing Standard Survey, which can be taken online, will be used in the Professional Development Guide in 2011 and to develop future Promotion Fitness and Supervisory Examinations.

"I highly encourage Airmen participating in this survey to provide direct, honest and candid inputs. We use the survey as an important tool to develop Airmen and to establish promotion testing standards," Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Rodney J. McKinley said. "In our dynamic Air Force, the information in the PDG is updated to ensure Airmen have current information available to develop and enhance their career through professional military knowledge and for promotion preparation. We need your feedback to accomplish this task."

Officials with AFOMS hope the convenience and importance of this survey will encourage NCOs to participate.

"That would be cool. I'd definitely be interested in participating in that," said Staff Sgt. Anese Jones, assigned to the Air Force Recruiting Service.

The survey takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete and will remain posted until March 6, 2009. Participation requires the use of a Common Access Card. Results will be made available in July 2009.

"We would like Airmen to complete this survey because they are in a position to identify areas of professional knowledge needed to carry out their Airman responsibilities," Chief McKinley said. "Input will help me and the (major command) command chiefs make important decisions regarding the professional development of our Airmen."
