'Today's Air Force' features Air Force Week Los Angeles

This edition of "Today's Air Force" highlights the third and final Air Force Week celebration of 2008 which began with a proclamation ceremony at the famous Kodak Theater in Hollywood, Calif.

Also featured is a new command. Air Force officials unveiled the colors during the assumption of command for 17th Air Force in Stuttgart, Germany, with their mission reaching out to another continent.

And for most Americans, going to the dentist for a check-up or cleaning is almost a routine. Unfortunately not everyone has the same opportunities. Meet a man in this segment who is helping bring dental care to Afghanistan.

The 30-minute, weekly news show can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel, American Forces Radio and Television Service stations around the world, and is available via podcast at http://www.af.mil/library/podcast.asp. The show also airs on more than 100 public cable-access stations within the United States.
