Academy Board of Visitors to meet

The Air Force Academy's Board of Visitors is scheduled to meet in Washington, D.C., Nov. 20, to discuss a variety of issues, including the impact of faculty deployments on offering cadets an operational perspective from their instructors and an update on the non-profit organization for the benefit of the Academy athletic department.

Scheduled to attend are Charles Garcia, BoV chairman and a 1983 Academy graduate; Dr. Gail Jaquish, BoV vice chairwoman and president, Jurix, Inc.; Sen. Wayne Allard of Colorado; Sen. Bob Bennett of Utah; Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska; Rep. Doug Lamborn of Colorado; Rep. Loretta Sanchez of California; Rep. Niki Tsongas of Massachusetts; Oregon State Sen. Jackie Winters; Terry Isaacson, associate vice president, Arizona State University, and a 1964 Academy graduate; Sue Ross, owner of Sierra Consulting and a 1983 graduate of the Academy; and A.J. Scribante, chairman and CEO, Vital Learning Corporation.

Also expected to attend the meeting are Mr. Ron Winter, principal deputy assistant secretary of the Air Force for manpower and reserve affairs; Gen. William Fraser III, Air Force vice chief of staff; Lt. Gen. John Regni, the Academy's superintendent, and other members of the Academy senior staff. 

The board last met at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on July 18 and 19.
