Fiscal 2009 captain, first lieutenant promotions announced Published Sept. 12, 2008 DENVER (AFPN) -- Air Reserve Personnel Center officials here recently announced the first half of fiscal 2009 line and nonline captain and the first half of fiscal 2009 first lieutenant promotions. There were 307 Air National Guard and 610 Air Force Reserve officers selected for promotion to captain, and 232 Air National Guard and 84 Air Force Reserve officers selected for promotion to first lieutenant. Officers may not assume the higher grade until they reach their two year date-of-rank anniversary or Oct. 1, 2008, whichever is later.
