'Today's Air Force' features airborne warning and control Published Sept. 9, 2008 SAN ANTONIO (AFPN) -- During this edition of "Today's Air Force" you will "travel" on a NATO airborne warning and control system, or AWACS, aircraft, and also learn how Air Force officials are working to better align the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance agency in the Pacific. Another segment features the Defense Biometric Identification Database System, or D-BIDS, which not only acts as a physical protection measure but also as a deterrent. Finally, go behind the scenes to witness the daily efforts to keep the busiest air base in Southwest Asia supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
