'Today's Air Force' features Midwest flooding

  • Published
This week's edition of "Today's Air Force" highlights the efforts of Air and Army National guardsmen and the battle of what has been called, the 500-year flood. Guardsmen are working with local officials to re-enforce levees, keeping an evacuation mission from becoming a rescue mission.

And RED HORSE shows us how their efforts are essential in combating the war on terrorism. Airmen are working grueling hours to finish a construction project in Iraq but it doesn't stop there. Watch them in action at Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, Guam and Misawa AB, Japan.

Also featured is readiness training; a top priority for the Air Force. See how constant training is making the difference between life and death.

The 30-minute, weekly news show can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel, American Forces Radio and Television Service stations around the world, and is available via podcast at http://www.af.mil/library/podcast.asp. The show also airs on more than 100 public cable-access stations within the United States.
