In the latest Letter to Airmen, the secretary of the Air Force reflects on how attention to the mission allows Airmen to meet the demanding air, space and cyberspace challenges of today.

"At every level of action, mission success requires clear goals, defined objectives, and an innate grasp of how those objectives are to be achieved," Secretary Michael W. Wynne said.

"Knowing the mission extends beyond daily "to do" lists," the secretary said. "It requires seizing every opportunity to improve how the Air Force provides global vigilance, gobal reach, and global power."

Secretary Wynne said another aspect to accomplish the mission is intensity of training and that Air Force training environments are becoming more intense and realistic than ever.

"Balancing simulation and 'live fly,' we train to diverse scenarios in quick succession, increasing our precision, lethality and readiness," Secretary Wynne said.

Secretary Wynne's Letter to Airmen along with other senior viewpoints are found in the Library section of Air Force Link.
