ARPC officials announce major promotions

Air Reserve Personnel Center officials announced the fiscal 2009 Air Force Reserve Line and Health Major Promotion Selection Board results April 15. This board selected 478 of 1,684 Air Force Reserve officers considered.

Board results are:

Participating selection statistics in-the-promotion zone

-- 211 line officers were selected from 279 considered for a 76 percent selection rate.

-- Three dental corps officers were selected from six considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

-- 11 medical corps officers were selected from 13 considered for an 85 percent selection rate.

-- 51 nurse corps officers were selected from 63 considered for an 81 percent selection rate.

-- 14 medical service corps officers were selected from 15 considered for a 93 percent selection rate.

-- 11 biomedical sciences corp officers were selected from 16 considered for a 69 percent selection rate.


Participating selection statistics above-the-promotion zone

-- 39 line officers were selected from 113 considered for a 35 percent selection rate.

-- Three dental corps officers were selected from three considered.

-- Two medical corps officers were selected from nine considered for a 22 percent selection rate.

-- Nine nurse corps officers were selected from 17 considered for a 53 percent selection rate.

-- No medical service corps officers were selected from two considered.

-- Two biomedical sciences corp officers were selected from eight considered for a 25 percent selection rate.


Nonparticipating selection statistics in-the-promotion zone 

-- One line officer was selected from 475 considered for a 0.2 percent selection rate.

-- One dental corps officer was selected from 49 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.

-- One medical corps officer was selected from 14 considered for a 7 percent selection rate.

-- One nurse corps officer was selected from 58 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.

-- One medical service corps officer was selected from six considered for a 17 percent selection rate.

-- One biomedical sciences corp officer was selected from 53 considered for a 2 percent selection rate.

-- No line officers were selected from 99 considered.

-- No dental corps officers were selected from 33 considered.

-- No medical corps officers were selected from 23 considered.

-- No nurse corps officers were selected from 43 considered.

-- No medical service corps officers were selected from three considered.

-- No biomedical sciences corp officers were selected from 48 considered.

-- 64 line officers were selected from 187 considered for a 34 percent selection rate.

-- No dental corps officers were considered.

-- One medical corps officer was selected from one considered.

-- 13 nurse corps officers were selected from 14 considered for a 93 percent selection rate.

-- Four medical service corps officers were selected from 26 considered for a 15 percent selection rate.

-- Four biomedical sciences corp officers were selected from eight considered for a 50 percent selection rate.

Promotion effective dates are based on the individual's time in grade. Projected effective dates will be posted on the ARPC Web site, www.arpc.afrc.af.mil.
