UAV kills 2 enemy combatants

An Air Force unmanned aerial vehicle observed a group of enemy combatants with weapons attacking Iraqi security and coalition forces with small-arms fire in northeast Baghdad April 9. 

The UAV fired one Hellfire missile and killed two of the armed combatants. 

"In direct partnership with the Iraqi security forces, we will protect the people of Baghdad from armed (combatants)," said Lt. Col. Steve Stover, Multi-National Division - Baghdad and 4th Infantry Division spokesman. "We want to bring back security and stability to the eastern Baghdad districts in order to set the conditions for continued economical development."
