Latest Joint Force Quarterly focuses on airpower

The latest edition of the Joint Force Quarterly, published for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by the Institute for National Strategic Studies at the National Defense University, focuses on airpower.

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. T. Michael Moseley opens the magazine's forum with an article titled, "America's Air Force: The Nation's Guardian." Other articles include "Shaping the Joint Fight in Air, Space and Cyberspace," by Gen. C. Robert Kehler, commander of Air Force Space Command; "Strategic Air Mobility and Global Power Projection" by Gen. Arthur J. Lichte, commander of Air Mobility Command; and "Building a Viable Force" by Lt. Gen. John A. Bradley, commander of Air Force Reserve Command, and two members of his staff. The role of JFQ is to promote understanding of the integrated employment of land, sea, air, space and special operations forces. The journal focuses on joint doctrine, integrated operations, coalition warfare, contingency planning, military operations conducted across the spectrum of conflict and joint force development.
