Airman's Roll Call highlights tax time

  • Published
This week's Airman's Roll Call focuses on the assistance Airmen can receive from the Air Force to help get their taxes done.

The deadline for filing your taxes is April 15 and that day will be here before you know it.

All American citizens are required to file their taxes by that date. As responsible citizens, all Airmen and their families must complete this important financial task.

To get the task done, the Air Force offers free tax advice, assistance, preparation and electronic filing through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Airmen can also get help online with their taxes. The IRS provides a free file service on its Web site, which lists several tax preparation services, many of which provide free service to military members. The Web Site Military OneSource also provides free tax assistance to military members.
