Nearly 200 Iraqi police officers receive their monthly pay Jan. 30 with the help of expeditionary security forces members.

Members of Det. 3 of the 732nd Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, 716th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, performed the security and identification process.

This is the third straight month they have ensured the proper Iraqi police are paid.

Squad members observed a much improved process this month compared to pay day activities witnessed in the last two months, they said.

"Things went smooth now that all the IP are in our tracking system," said Tech. Sgt. Robert Shoemake, a native of Columbus, Ohio, and an assistant flight chief for the detachment.

One hundred and ninety three Hy al Amil Iraqi Policemen were paid after going through security verifications. The IP were identified with an eye iris scan, presentation of proper identification and, inspecting and inventorying their assigned weapons.

Some, who were injured in the line of duty, received extra pay to compensate for their injuries.
