In the latest Letter to Airmen, the secretary of the Air Force focuses on how Air Force people need to set personal and organizational goals for 2008.

"I encourage each of you to set personal goals that will take care of your mind, body and your family so you are ready to defend our great nation today and in the future," Secretary Michael W. Wynne said.

"Additionally, each organization should set goals focused on accomplishing their specific missions with excellence and taking care of their people." he said.

The secretary said that Air Force officials will break new ground in 2008 by applying innovative technologies in areas such as alternative energy using synfuel and in cyberspace when AF Cyber Command becomes operational.

Secretary Wynne's Letter to Airmen along with other senior leader viewpoints are found in the Library section of Air Force Link.
