'Today's Air Force' features the F-22 Raptor

  • Published
This week's edition of "Today's Air Force" highlights the F-22 Raptor.  Also featured are an air combat training exercise called "Red Flag" and the F-35 Lightning II.

The F-22 reached initial operational capability two years ago, but until recently that operational presence was restricted to the continental United States. See the first Raptor arrive at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, to serve an important role in maintaining peace and stability through out the Pacific.  Also watch as it participates in Red Flag, an exercise designed to test the response of pilots and air support crews in combat scenarios. Check out the F-35 Lightning II and the CV-22 Osprey during the final segment of the show.

The 30-minute, weekly news show can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel, American Forces Radio and Television Service stations around the world, and is available via podcast at http://www.af.mil/library/podcast.asp. The show also airs on more than 100 public cable-access stations within the United States.
