DOD identifies Air Force casualty Published Dec. 26, 2007 WASHINGTON (AFPN) -- Department of Defense officials here announced Dec. 26 the death of an Airman who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Senior Airman Nicholas D. Eischen, 24, of Sanger, Calif., died in a noncombat related incident Dec. 24 at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 60th Medical Operations Squadron from Travis Air Force Base, Calif. The circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation.
