Air Force MQ-1 crashes in Iraq Published Nov. 29, 2007 ALI BASE, Iraq (AFPN) -- An Air Force MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicle crashed Nov. 29 at approximately 11 a.m. local time. The crash site was in an unpopulated area. The aircraft is a medium-altitude long-endurance, remotely piloted aircraft. The MQ-1's primary mission is conducting armed reconnaissance.
