The annual search is on for talented Air Force members who can sing, dance, play musical instruments and support those who do.

The Air Force Entertainment Branch of Air Force Services Agency has initiated its talent search for the 2008 the Air Force Tops In Blue tour.

The campaign called, "Perform Your Duty," is designed to inform active duty, Reserve and Air National Guard members about their opportunity to compete for the 2008 Air Force Worldwide Talent Contest to be held at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, Dec. 2-10.

In addition to competing for the coveted first place "Roger" and the second place "Wilco" awards in each category, competitors also will audition for 34 positions on the 2008 Air Force Tops In Blue team.

On-stage performers such as musicians, dancers, vocalists, comedians, dramatists and support staff are needed for the talent competition and for the Air Force Tops In Blue tour.

Bus drivers; stage, light and sound technicians; wardrobe/costume coordinators, choreographers and vocal assistants also have a chance to compete at the worldwide competition and possibly earn the opportunity to tour with Air Force Tops In Blue.

Individual application packages must be received at the Air Force Services Agency by Oct. 26.

All resumes and entertainer videos will be reviewed and those individuals who display the best talent and potential will be invited to compete at the talent contest.   Funding for the contest is provided by Air Force Services, including permissive temporary duty, travel and lodging.

Interested active duty, Reserve or Air Guard members should contact their base Services squadron for more information on how to apply, or visit the Tops In Blue Web site for downloadable applications.
