Latest 'Today's Air Force' highlights efficiency, management Published July 23, 2007 SAN ANTONIO (AFNEWS) -- This week's edition of "Today's Air Force" highlights how Airmen at bases around the world are continually looking for ways to help the Air Force become more efficient. The war on terrorism has Airmen all around the world doing their part, whether in Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere around the globe. Learn how their efforts to achieve efficiency are precisely calculated through time management. Plus find out how American security forces work together with South Korean special forces, overcoming the language barrier to deal with a common threat: terrorism. And planet Earth enters what is called "Hurricane Season," or in the Pacific, "Typhoon Season." Airmen can't stop a storm, but they can track and forecast its path. See how Air Force weather squadrons gather critical information about the strength and path of storms to keep their local communities safe and informed. The long-format, weekly news show tells Air Force stories in more depth. The program is made up of three segments and each runs approximately eight minutes. Although each can stand alone, they are related to form a seamless program. "Today's Air Force" can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel and via American Forces Radio and Television Service stations all around the world or subscribe to receive the Air Force feed via podcast. Also, more than 130 cable-access stations air the program, which can be obtained either from a satellite feed or through a file-transfer protocol server.
