The Air Force Doctrine Center has unveiled a new tool, making it easier than ever to reference and search operational-level doctrine. Known as MegaPub, the one-stop shopping solution offers easy access to the complete library of Air Force Doctrine Documents, or AFDDs.

"As Airmen, we should advocate the proper use of airpower based on our most current doctrine," said Maj. Gen. Allen G. Peck, commander of AFDC and vice commander of Air University.  "The new MegaPub allows us to have quick access to the latest Air Force doctrine allowing us to be more precise about, and better articulate, what airpower brings to the fight."

The document, compiled and searchable within a single Adobe Acrobat PDF file, is organized with the most recently approved doctrine documents displayed first but it also highlights AFDDs under revision. The publication can be downloaded or linked through a Web browser's "Favorites."

The search feature is powerful but easy to use. To use the search feature within the Adobe Acrobat software program, select "search" and enter the keyword(s). The entire library of AFDDs will be searched; results will show the most recently published doctrine first, regardless of numbering of the publications. This ensures access to the most recent data relevant to the search.

The AFDD MegaPub is a living document, and as changes occur, users will still have access to the latest doctrine. For more information or comments, contact the AFDC at afdc.dds2@maxwell.af.mil
