'Today's Air Force' highlights global operations Published May 28, 2007 SAN ANTONIO (AFPN) -- This week's edition of "Today's Air Force" highlights one of the major elements in the success of global U.S. Air Force operations, the help and cooperation of allied nations like Romania. Featured is a segment showing how 42 countries come together in the largest communication exercise in the world to ensure they can communicate with each other on a global scale. Also featured is the Survival, Escape, Resistance, and Evasion Training, or SERE, program designed to teach downed pilots how to survive in worst-case-scenarios in enemy territory. In the final segment, see what Air Force leaders are doing to make quality of life for Airmen their top priority. The long-format weekly news show tells Air Force stories in more depth. The program is made up of three segments and each runs approximately eight minutes. Although each can stand alone, they are related to form a seamless program. "Today's Air Force" can be seen every day on The Pentagon Channel and via American Forces Radio and Television Service stations all around the world. The Air Force feed also is available via podcast at: http://www.af.mil/library/podcast.asp. More than 80 cable-access stations air the program, which can be obtained either from a satellite feed or through a file-transfer protocol server.
