Air Force announces aviation resource management awards

Air Force officials announced the 2006 Outstanding Air Force Aviation Resource Management Award winners.

The 2006 Aviation Resource Management Award winners are:

-- Airman of the Year is Senior Airman Kristel Weires of the 12th Fighter Squadron at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.

-- NCO of the Year is Staff Sgt. Shaneeka Jones of the 384th Air Refueling Squadron at McConnell AFB, Kan.

-- Senior NCO of the Year is Master Sgt. Gregory Voss of the 720th Operational Support Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Fla.

-- Civilian Supervisor of the Year is Martin Blount of the 388th Range Squadron at Hill AFB, Utah.

-- Civilian Journeyman/Technician of the Year is Robert Keiper of the 425th Fighter Squadron at Luke AFB, Ariz.

-- Headquarters Staff Member of the Year is Tech. Sgt. Shawn Jones of the Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field.

-- Instructor of the Year is Tech. Sgt. Jennifer Mastan of the Mobility Operations School at Fort Dix, N.J.

-- Air Reserve Component Airman of the Year is Senior Airman Lyn Yin of the 728th Airlift Squadron at McChord AFB, Wash.

-- Air Reserve Component NCO of the Year is Tech. Sgt. Marcus Walker of the 97th Flying Training Squadron at Sheppard AFB, Texas

-- Air Reserve Component Senior NCO of the Year is Senior Master Sgt. Darlene Peterson of the 711th Special Operations Squadron at Duke Field, Fla.

-- Air Reserve Component Civilian Supervisor of the Year is Vance Fulkerson of the 123rd Airlift Wing at Louisville, Ky.

-- Air Reserve Component Civilian Journeyman/Technician of the Year is Barbara Dobson of the 728th Airlift Squadron at McChord AFB.

-- Sergeant Dee Campbell Aviation Resource Management Team of the Year at the Large Unit Category is the 60th Airlift Wing at Travis AFB, Calif., and the Small Unit Category winner is the 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa Air Base, Japan.

Individual military award category winners are authorized to wear the Air Force Recognition Ribbon and civilian winners are authorized to wear the Air Force Recognition Lapel Button.
