Week in Photos highlights Airmen in action

The "Week In Photos" Web feature on Air Force Link provides visitors with photos that highlight Air Force missions around the world. Among this week's photos are:

Waiting for explosive ordnance disposal members to confirm the scene is safe, Staff Sgt. Christopher Hawks and Master Sgt. Albert Schneider prepare to collect evidence and obtain pictures in Iraq. Sergeant Schneider's weapons intelligence team had just arrived at the scene of two improvised explosive devices detonations.

Capt. Charles Toth and Tech. Sgt. Melissa Saraiva check monitoring devices for common pesticides and other environmental hazardous chemicals in the air April 13 at Balad Air Base, Iraq. Bioenvironmental engineers perform environmental, occupational and radiological surveillance in order to protect and maintain a healthy work force.

Maintenance workers wipe down a B-25 Mitchell on display April 17 at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. The plane was the backdrop for a ceremony honoring the Doolittle Raiders and the 65th Anniversary of the Doolittle raid.

Cadet 1st Class Scott Crellin removes a goblet from its case during a goblet ceremony April 18 in San Antonio. This reunion marks the 65th Anniversary of the Tokyo Raid in 1942. There are 80 goblets representing all 80 Doolittle Raiders. When a Raider dies, his goblet is turned over in the case.
