In its conference opener, the Air Force lacrosse team scored 11 unanswered goals to secure a 16-9 victory over Quinnipiac April 7. The Falcons move to 2-5 on the season with the win, 1-0 in the Great Western Lacrosse League, while the Bobcats fall to 3-5, 0-3 in the league.

Quinnipiac controlled the action for most of the first half, scoring four of the game's first five goals. Though a pair of man-up scores by the Falcons' Conrad Lochocki (Sr., Chalfont, Pa.) cut Air Force's deficit to 4-3 at the end of the opening period, the Bobcats jumped back out to a 7-4 advantage with 8:13 remaining in the second quarter. However, Air Force scored four straight goals to grab an 8-7 lead at the break.

Air Force was even more impressive in the third period, outscoring Quinnipiac 7-0. While the Bobcats scored the first two goals of the final period, the Falcons capped off the game with a score from senior Will Meister (Denver, Colo.) to take the 16-9 victory.

Junior Kevin Crumrine (Edgewater, Md.) was Air Force's leading scorer with five goals and one assists, while sophomore Griffin Nevitt (Charlotte, N.C.) added three goals and three assists. Back-up goalkeeper Dan Gnazzo (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.) tallied 14 saves and just two goals against in just over 33 minutes of action.

The Falcons are back in action next weekend with a pair of GWLL contests, visiting Notre Dame on April 13 and Bellarmine on April 15.
