Golf: AF finishes 13th at CU-Stevinson Ranch Invitational

Firing a three-round score of 939, the Air Force golf team finished in 13th place at the University of Colorado Stevinson Ranch Invitational March 27 at the par-72, 7,206-yard Stevinson Ranch Golf Club. 

Wichita State captured the team title with a score of 881 (+19), while Illinois State's Matt Miller won medalist honors after turning in a 2-under-par 214.

Leading the way for Air Force was senior Tyler Goulding, who turned in a 6-over-par 222 to finish tied for eighth place. Sophomore Shaun O'Bryant was next in the individual standings for the Falcons, finishing tied for 45th place at 235, while junior Bob Whitney ended in a tie for 50th place at 237. 

Rounding out the group for the Falcons were sophomore Andrew Gibson and senior Chad Follett. Gibson finished in a tie for 75th place at 250, while Follett finished two strokes behind in 77th place.

The Falcons return to action April 9-10 at Scottsdale, Ariz., in the Cowboy Classic.
