Additional charges filed against cadet

Academy officials have filed additional charges against a cadet.

Cadet 2nd Class Christopher Wolff, a junior, was charged March 14 with two more violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The new charges are two specifications of violating Article 92 of the UCMJ, failure to obey an order or regulation, by providing alcohol to someone not of legal drinking age, and for consuming alcohol while under the legal drinking age.

The previous charge filed against Cadet Wolff on March 8 was one violation of Article 134, for indecent assault upon a fellow cadet.

If convicted of all charges and specifications, Cadet Wolff faces a maximum punishment of nine years confinement, dismissal from the Air Force, and total forfeiture of all pay and allowances.

The next step in the military legal process is an Article 32 hearing. An Article 32 hearing is used to determine if there is enough evidence to move the case forward to a court-martial or make recommendations for an alternate action.

A date for Cadet Wolff's Article 32 hearing has not yet been set.
