Air Force junior Eric Ehn and senior Andrew Ramsey were honored at the Atlantic Hockey Association banquet March 15, at the RIT Inn and Conference Center in Rochester, N.Y.

Ehn was named the league's player of the year and earned first-team all-conference honors. Ramsey was a second-team all-AHA selection.

Air Force is in its first season of competition in Atlantic Hockey. Ehn is the second Falcon to earn conference player of the year honors, the first in the AHA. Goaltender Marc Kielkucki was named the College Hockey America Player of the Year in 2001. Ehn was a second-team all-CHA selection last season. The award for Ramsey is the first of his career. Ehn is AFA's first first-team all-conference selection since Derek Olson was on the 2002 all-CHA first team.

A center from Dexter, Mich., Ehn has led the nation in scoring 14 of the last 17 weeks. He currently leads the nation with 1.68 points per game with 62 points on 24 goals and 38 assists in 37 games. He ranks seventh in the nation in goals and second in assists. He leads the Atlantic Hockey Association in goals, assists, points, shots (158) and plus/minus (+27).

A two-time AHA Offensive Player of the Week, Ehn has scored in 29 of the 37 games and has eight multiple-goal games and 17 multiple-point games. He became the first Falcon to score more than 60 points in 27 years. His 38 assists are the most by a Falcon in 30 years. Ehn set a new AHA record for points in a season in conference games with 45 points (16-29-45). In five games against teams from the Big Four conferences, Ehn has four goals, five points and is a +3. Ehn's goals per game in those five contests is 0.80. His goals per game in all games is 0.65

A left winger from Noblesville, Ind., Ramsey was second on the team with career-bests of 20 goals and 44 points in 33 games. He was third in the AHA in goals and points in all games. The senior was fourth in the league in goals in AHA games with 16 and was sixth in points in conference games with 35. He was twice named the AHA Offensive Player of the Week this season. His +19 plus/minus rating was second in the league.

Air Force, 17-15-5 overall, is the fourth seed and takes on top-seeded Sacred Heart, Friday, March 16, in the AHA Final Four at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y. The face-off is at 4 p.m. ET. The winner advances to the championship game, Saturday, March 17, at 7 pm. The winner of the championship game receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
