Golf: Air Force finishes in tie for 13th Published March 13, 2007 By Melissa McKeown U.S. Air Force Academy PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. (AFNEWS) -- Shooting a 304 in the final round, the Air Force golf team finished tied for 13th place at the USF Triumph, being held at the par-71, 7,077-yard Pauma Valley Country Club. St. Mary's, led by individual medalist Mike McRae, took the team championship, finishing at 853 (+1). The Falcons tallied a three-round score of 905 (+53) for the tournament and were led by Tyler Goulding and Shaun O'Bryant. Goulding, who fired an even-par 71 in the final round, finished the tournament with a 222, tying for 29th place along with O'Bryant. Chad Follett and Andrew Gibson both ended with a final score of 233, tying for 67th place, while Matt Tanis finished tied for 78th at 245. Air Force is back in action March 19-20 at Phoenix, Ariz., for the Ron Moore Invitational.
