Air Force selects 65 officers for pilot, navigator, ABM training Published Feb. 2, 2007 RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE, Texas (AFNEWS) -- The Air Force recently selected 65 officers to attend specialized undergraduate pilot, navigator and air battle manager training. The Specialized Undergraduate Flying Training Selection Board met at the Air Force Personnel Center Jan. 9-11 to consider active-duty Air Force applicants for Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training, Specialized Undergraduate Navigator Training and Undergraduate Air Battle Manager Training. The board considered 249 applications and selected 50 officers in the ranks of second lieutenant through captain to attend pilot training, including sending 10 officers to Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training. They also selected 10 officers in the ranks of second lieutenant through captain to attend navigator training and five lieutenants for air battle manager training. Air Force officials will notify alternates of their selection for training if slots become available. Some selects will begin classes as early as May, June or July. Other selects will fill positions throughout fiscal 2007. Individuals selected will be notified within two to three weeks. For more information, visit the local Military Personnel Flight.
