Wrestling: Air Force concludes Midlands championships

EVANSTON, Ill. (AFPN) --  Six members of the U.S. Air Force Academy wrestling team competed in the 44th Annual Midlands Championships Dec. 29 at Northwestern University.

Senior captain Bridger Lord picked up the lone Air Force victory.

Lord, competing at 149 pounds, began the day with a 4-0 loss to Purdue University's Mark Powell, but came back with a 2-1 decision over Northern Iowa's Charlie Ettelson. His afternoon then ended after dropping a 9-3 decision to Brad Stockton of Waldorf.

Also competing for the Falcons at the Midlands Championships were junior Jake Kriegbaum, senior Zach Lord, junior Duane Miller, sophomore Stephen Crozier and junior Jacob Devlin.

The Falcons return to action Jan. 6 at the Lone Star Duals in Grand Prairie, Texas.
