The Tops In Blue 2007 entertainment group is almost complete, but has some important vacancies that talented Air Force Airmen can fill, and fill quickly.

"We need horn players," said Jeri White, Tops In Blue production coordinator at Air Force Services Agency, "trumpets, trombones and saxophones, and we need them now."

Horn players on active duty in the Air Force can audition directly with Tops In Blue officials. The WorldWide Talent Contest is completed, so horn players can call the Air Force Entertainment Office at 210-652-6566 soon as possible.

"We're looking to fill a complete band," said Ms. White. "Applicants don't have to have professional training to qualify. They can be self-taught and don't have to be able to read music. All they need is talent and a strong desire to improve during the touring season."

The 2007 Tops In Blue tour starts in late January 2007 and lasts through January 2008.

"This is a fantastic chance for a few talented Airmen to join the team and help provide a free, high-energy, 90-minute musical extravaganza to our military forces stationed around the globe," said Tom Edwards, director of Air Force Entertainment.

Tops In Blue visits more than 120 locations worldwide in more than 30 countries, including remote locations in forward operating areas, entertaining more than 350,000 military and family members each year.

"Our goal is simple," Mr. Edwards said, "to reach as many people as possible and to thank them for their commitment to the Air Force."

If you can play a trumpet, trombone or saxophone and wish to join this world famous entertainment group, call immediately, or go to the Air Force Services Agency Web site. It's time to blow your own horn!
