Osan Airmen were treated to a special guest for Thanksgiving lunch at the Ginkgo Tree dining facility here.

Gen. Paul V. Hester, Pacific Air Forces commander, served Thanksgiving lunch to Airmen here and spent time this holiday season with them.

"Since all of us who serve overseas are away from our blood family on this uniquely American holiday, I wanted to be with the Air Force family and the Pacific Airmen who are on the front lines of freedom," General Hester said. "That means those here in Osan and in Kunsan ... I am honored to serve them dinner and jointly count our many blessings."

Several distinguished visitors accompanied General Hester as servers. Maj. Gen. Edward A. Rice Jr., PACAF vice commander and PACAF Command Chief Master Sgt. Anthony Bishop joined the general on this trip. They also visited Kunsan Air Base to serve the feast to the 8th Fighter Wing.

Lt. Gen. Stephen G. Wood, 7th Air Force commander, and Brig. Gen. Joseph Reynes Jr., 51st Fighter Wing commander, also donned their chefs hats to dish out turkey, all the trimmings and pumpkin pie.
