(AFPN) -- After dropping its first game of the 2006 WWPA Championship to 17th-ranked Santa Clara, the No. 16 Air Force water polo team went 1-1 on day two of the tournament. The Falcons now sit at 13-17 on the season with one game remaining. Facing the Broncos in the first game of the tournament on Friday, the Falcons dropped a 6-3 decision. Air Force then met up with La Verne to open the day Nov. 18, taking the 10-5 win to move into the consolation bracket versus UC Santa Cruz. Unfortunately, Air Force was unable to get by UCSC, suffering a 6-4 upset by the Banana Slugs. Now the Falcons will face No. 19 Redlands in the seventh-place game, slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. (PT) Nov. 19.
