Angel Thunder
Senior Airman Troy Thompson checks the vital signs of a simulated wounded patient as part of a mass casualty scenario during exercise Angel Thunder July 27. The mass casualty scenario involved two CH-47 Chinook helicopters crashing. Once on the ground, pararescuemen triaged survivors and relocated them to a casualty collection point. They were then flown to Davis-Monthan Air Force Base to a simulated level 2/3 medical facility. This part of exercise Angel Thunder involved the 48th, 58th, 66th, 79th and 305th Rescue Squadrons as well as air support from the 358th Fighter Squadron.
